I was looking for an easier way to change the air filters in my two 2014 Yamaha VX Cruiser Deluxe Waverunners. If anyone has one of these, you know how nearly impossible it is to replace an existing air filter. Removing the standard airbox and air filter makes future air filter maintenance much easier. However, the stock air box is designed to keep water out of the engine should the cabin become flooded. It won't protect you from that, but in the 6 years that I've owned the Waverunner I've never come close to filling the engine bay with water. So I'm willing to take that risk.
