I bought this toaster almost a year ago, mainly because of its smoothness and features. Although it looked nice, it was very light and fragile. At first, however, I was pleased with the toast and its ability to handle long slices of bread and only toast the cut side of the bagels. However, over time it became less and less reliable. The center of the "toast" is not toasted, and giving it more time will either burn the toast, or get the toasting you want in the center, burning all the edges. In addition, very often only one side of the bread was toasted. I ended up replacing it with an expensive heavyweight that will hopefully last a lot longer than this toaster. I had to send it back when I saw how cheaply made it was. Definitely not worth the price!
