Works great with butter and cheese fondue. The temperature setting turned out to be accurate - with the ability to lower or raise the temperature. The oil fill line is about 1 inch high, but that's all you need. Well cleaned. The magnetic tear off feature is good but also easy to turn off. The oil will splatter easily if it is too hot. Minus 1 star - I ordered 2 (at the same time, in the same order), installed, tested, removed to fill with hot oil in the kitchen, when I put it back on the table I couldn't get it shut the magnetic electrical plugs, recognized that they are different and not interchangeable, swapped them out and they worked. (stress from a big dinner party) I haven't tried the chocolate in this pot.
