The big pot I've always wanted

We've always wanted a really big pot for canning and making big soup pots for parties, but we've always hesitated to buy one because of our small kitchen and hearth space. couldn't handle it for cooking or storing. We recently phased out all non-stick cookware and questionable metals from our kitchen to use healthier materials when cooking and discovered the HomiChef brand. After buying a couple of their smaller pots and being happy with them we got this one and it fits perfectly with our largest burner with enough room under the ceiling fan for the vapor to do its thing (see pic). Other pots have amazed us with steel handles that never get too hot to touch, even after hours of cooking, and this large pot is no different - the handles are actually far enough from the burner to stay cool. We don't hesitate to pick it up when it's full - the handles are very well designed. You can tell this is a VERY solid construction as the 3 layer base does not heat up very quickly (which prevents the base contents from burning), but it cooks easily and evenly despite being larger than the burner, on which he sits. Even better, it fits in our sink under the faucet (we don't have a dishwasher in our house) and it's easy to clean. I LOVE that the lid is glass too, being able to see what's cooking is always a nice bonus. Happy with this product and very happy with the use of nickel free steel. It's a pity that we gave up poisonous dishes a long time ago! (Also I wanted to get the water SO hot in this huge pot and soak my feet, it's so deep my calves would benefit as well, but I don't think anyone would want to eat it knowing I'm eating their feet soaked in it! ) :)
