Works great - no burn marks on bottom

I only use steel or cast iron for cooking and these are hard to find for large quantities. My previous pan was single-layer steel and I constantly struggled with scorching and burning the bottom. I didn't have this problem when cooking 20 liters of grilled beans.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Very disappointed: pans

I ordered this product on purpose because it is stainless steel so will hold up well and is a good price. Oh no. The photo was taken after the first use, as you can see there is some damage. I salted the turkey in the pot, that's it - it shouldn't have attacked the material if the pot is actually made as advertised.

Pros
  • Wide range of boring packaging

Cooks on level three, waiting for glasses in the dishwasher

Great pot, really shines when I spray it with vinegar immediately after use while it's still warm. Heats up quickly the first time, but hard water will boil slower the second time because of the extra liter, buzz 7 pints of okra and then a liter to use them all. Can't wait to make chili in a jar. Made another 7 pints of okra at 1/4 setting on a glass lid induction cooker and came back and waited for the jar in the dishwasher only to find the pot was simmering again. The pot was filled with…

Very rusty after one use. Exchanged quickly by the manufacturer.

Bought to have something just the right size for large soups or cooking shellfish, corn etc. After a single use, the entire bottom is rusted inside. A complete waste of money. *Update* The manufacturer sent me a new standard pot, so far it looks better than the original. Upgraded from 1 star to 4. If I can cook corn on the cob without it immediately rusting again, I'll upgrade it to 5 stars. Excellent customer service. *Update* Made corn on the cob in salt water. The pot is damaged, again…

BEST BUY ON AMAZON!

That's 20 qt. the pot is perfect. I was skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews. So I'm wondering if the reviewers clicked on the wrong product when writing their review. This is absolutely professional level. All nickel free pots/pans MUST be used and prepared properly: Before first use: 1. Wash with warm soapy water. 2. Rinse again with a solution of vinegar and water. 3. Wash one last time with warm soapy water. you can go After the first use, it can be washed in the dishwasher.

Pros
  • Very good value for money

Great pot that serves its purpose! Nickel free!

Overall I am very happy with this pot and the purchase. I've used it a few times and . It's solid and quite substantial. The bottom is thick and hard, it didn't burn or stick to the bottom (e.g. when frying onions for a stew), the heat seemed fairly evenly distributed. The sides of the pot aren't the thickest, but they're not flimsy either. It's not the heaviest large stainless steel pan I've ever owned, but for the price it's VERY GOOD and definitely better than I expected overall. Being…

Defective product but great customer service!

16 qt. When I first used the product, the pot got chips on the bottom. I followed the directions that came with the pot and was surprised to see small chips on the bottom. I have stainless steel pans that I bought 20 years ago and have never had a problem. I also bought an 8 liter jar from the same company which works great - no problems so far. Should be materials in 16 quarts. pan that is different. The good news is that the company offers great customer service. I wrote to the company about…

Ideal for broths, soups, stews, cooking and canning

Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. I don't mind washing my glass cooker, but it's even better NOT to clean it. This Homi Chef 16 liter pot is perfect for preparing recipes that squirt and/or foam like strawberry jam, for bain-marie canning and for very large recipes. . Recipes that typically involve liquids foaming, splashing or sloshing out of small pots and pans are not suited to the tall sides of this pot. so big it's impractical Only the height of the pot is very tall, making it a…

The big pot I've always wanted

We've always wanted a really big pot for canning and making big soup pots for parties, but we've always hesitated to buy one because of our small kitchen and hearth space. couldn't handle it for cooking or storing. We recently phased out all non-stick cookware and questionable metals from our kitchen to use healthier materials when cooking and discovered the HomiChef brand. After buying a couple of their smaller pots and being happy with them we got this one and it fits perfectly with our…
