Overall I am very happy with this pot and the purchase. I've used it a few times and . It's solid and quite substantial. The bottom is thick and hard, it didn't burn or stick to the bottom (e.g. when frying onions for a stew), the heat seemed fairly evenly distributed. The sides of the pot aren't the thickest, but they're not flimsy either. It's not the heaviest large stainless steel pan I've ever owned, but for the price it's VERY GOOD and definitely better than I expected overall. Being nickel free it requires more maintenance than other stainless steel pans to keep it in top condition (i.e. dry immediately after washing) but I specifically wanted something nickel free and am glad I take a little extra care of it. and have a slightly less shiny pot for the sake of my family's health. Anyway I'm very happy with it and will update if needed in the future as I use it more often.
