This clip worked for me, but I bought this to "spice up" my son's firefighter costume for Halloween. The part that grips the gloves worked like a champ, but the part that slides over the belt definitely needs more grip either on the belt or on the other side of the clip. It probably works best in light conditions with a very wide tactical sling at least 2" wide - a 3" wide sling would be even better. On a thin belt, the clip is really just a loop - it wants to wiggle and twist and generally move and get in your way, which is rather the opposite of what it's supposed to be.
