Review on Efficient Storage Solution: Amazon πŸ“¦ Basics Aluminum Shelving for Organized Space by Montez Vazquez

Simple and functional = 5 stars

I ordered this rack to keep our outdoor gear off the floor in our cozy guest bedroom. I didn't care what it looked like or anything. I just wanted something functional in these sizes. It arrived on our porch and was quite a heavy box, so I stuffed it inside and then decided to open it right there and take the parts one by one to where I would assemble the device. because I didn't have a second person to help me lift the box. Assembly was pretty easy for one person. Unlike other people, none of my parts were broken or missing, so I had no issues. I've also seen others find it helpful to use a rubber mallet to hold the shelves in place. I'd definitely back that recommendation as the shelves can feel solid when inserted by hand, but if you look closely you can see there's a gap and you'll have to knock it in to really close it lock. I didn't have a rubber mallet so I used a plain hammer wrapped in a towel a few times and that was enough to hold the parts in place while softening the blow so they didn't get damaged. has held our gear for several months now. Since it seemed strong enough and I didn't want to poke a hole in our wall, I chose not to install the included anti-rollover accessory. I move quite a bit so it will be interesting to see how easy it is to take apart this shelf for moving when I move out. I imagine it will be pretty easy and you can just tap them with a hammer to pop them back out.

Pros
  • One shelf holds up to 800 pounds; Entire rack holds up to 4,000 lbs (when evenly distributed and on level ground)
Cons
  • Something else
