This is a great board for beginners. I bought it for my wife so she can try it with me. It comes in a giant Revain box in a bubble bag. The board itself is wrapped in plastic, but unfortunately they seem to have trolleys attached after wrapping, so you'll have to loosen or disassemble it a bit to completely remove the plastic. which you still have to do because they mount the trucks with the kingpin inside instead of outside. Skateboards and longboards have opposing kingpins, pay attention to how they land. Inspect your trucks for wheel bites before jumping and hurtling down the road! I had to tighten those two and a half full turns to keep the board from hitting the wheels and stopping suddenly and unexpectedly. It's a bit harder than I'd like, but with a woman who's a first year, it's not that big of a deal. The wheels actually roll quite round. Look for a step up on the next board as they don't spin for free like the better ones, but they get the job done. Keep in mind that you're only spending about $60 on this board. Despite its thickness, it's not really intended for rough tricks. So, as you make progress, start looking for your next step. Quite a few other reviews show damage to the tail or nose. I recommend looking for symmetrical boards with front and rear kicktails. However for the low price you can buy this is a great entry board to learn from; If you end up giving up this hobby, you don't have to worry about a $200-$500 paperweight in your garage. You need to configure something on the board.
