Ferrets should have access to a water bowl, not a water bottle, and my ferret was prone to bumping or knocking over his water bowl. I needed something to attach to the side of his ferret cage (it wasn't a bottle) and it worked really well. No more watery mess. It is very easy to attach to a ferret cage with vertical bars. If you want to remove the cup for washing or refilling, just twist it clockwise/counterclockwise and vice versa to put it back. It's very simple, I'm surprised my ferret didn't figure it out. My only complaint is that it's a bit big for it, but if I remember correctly, 10 oz is the smallest I could get for a reasonable price. . It's okay, he drinks about 1/2 and then gets too lazy to reach any further. I'm just trying to refresh him every day and he often comes out of his cage and drinks from other pets' water bowls. It's very durable, so if you have a ferret that likes to chew, it's going to take a long time to do enough damage to cause damage. it's useless.
