I like the fact that it has a digital display and it shuts off automatically when the desired pressure is reached. However, the controls are not intuitive. I couldn't add pressure while the pump was connected for some reason. You'll have to dig or search the internet for instructions. I don't like the threaded connection either. My husband cut the thread and he let all the air out of the tire. I'm looking for a new one that has a snap fitting and maybe one that will also fit the new bike Presta valves. The kit comes with a Schrader to Presta thread adapter, but of course it fell out of the case and was immediately lost. FYI, if you lose an adapter you can get one at any bike shop.
