FINALLY! I've been looking for lamps short enough for my recessed patio lights that were installed about 8 or 9 years ago for at least 5 years. The original lamps were of the tube type, but shorter ones are not available anywhere else. I ended up buying longer tubular lamps, but they were too long to replace the caps on the fixture, leaving them open and very unattractive. I was hesitant to order them but felt like I had nothing to lose by trying them at least. The dimensions described by the seller fit my fittings. The bulbs are the perfect size for my lights and I was able to put the caps back on for the first time in years! If you've had a similar problem, meaning you've been looking for shorter downlights, these bulbs are the perfect replacement for the full-size bulbs. My only issue, which is small compared to my search for replacement bulbs, is that two of the bulbs blew out almost immediately after installing them. I replaced them with others (I ordered 6 pieces for 3 lights) and left them on all night last night with no problems. I contacted the seller about this little thing. I didn't want to return the whole pack of 6 bulbs as I found it difficult to install the bulbs myself and didn't want to climb the stairs again to remove the good bulbs and return all 6 pack. -Package. These bulbs are a lot cheaper than the "too long" tube bulbs I've bought at Home Depot for the last few years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE LAMPS! FOR ME THIS IS THE BEST FIND I HAVE FOUND IN A VERY LONG TIME and my patio looks a lot prettier when the lights are properly covered.
