Beautiful all-metal body. This is literally the only model I could find with a metal body. However, apart from the metal case, there is no real improvement in quality. It has very substandard internals and a really substandard latch. I only used the tape measure a couple of times before I had to throw it away. Since it's only 12 feet, I made the mistake of pulling the band too far because the poorly attached band slipped off the spring. Once the spring has gone back, it's impossible (and not worth your time) to try to put it back together. I really wanted to like the tape measure, but unfortunately all tape measures these days are partially disposable, so buy the cheapest you can find and don't get too attached to it.
