We made a mistake the first time we used it. This should secure the metal sleeve for the indoor air conditioner exhaust pipe. Since the old strap was there, we didn't strip it off completely before applying the new strap. The next day the entire section was hanging down and ready to fall. Our mistake is that we didn't give the new tape a suitable place to stick it. We wanted her to be on hand at our summer house for any repairs we do there. The properties that are important to us are water resistance and weather resistance (both hot and cold). Since the first use failed due to "operator error", I did not deduct a star for this. It seems to have good adhesion properties so we have a lot of projects to try it on. I will update the review after we try some of them. I wish some of them were in white too.
