I ordered these antimicrobial toothbrushes after reading an article about them. The article describes that these brushes have thinner bristles and there are many more of them to better clean teeth. What is special about the bristles are the silver microparticles embedded in them, which help to protect them from germs. Silver has an antibacterial effect and used to be very popular for treating cuts and infections. I found this toothbrush to fit my hand and mouth well and was a pleasure to brush with. The bristle head is big rather than flimsy like some brushes, and the thinner bristles seem to clean "hard-to-reach spots" better, and since there are more bristles, they just seem to clean better. I have noticed that after a few weeks of using this brush some of the problem gum areas feel better and I think this is because the improved brush cleans better. Also, the bristles are soft (they only come in soft), which I prefer. The cleaning effect is quite pleasant, the soft bristles (and there are plenty of them) just feel good on the teeth and gums and would probably be just the thing for someone with sore gums. I love that they came in a pack of four and that the price was reasonable, not much more than regular brushes. I will definitely buy them again as I'm really pleased with how well they work for me.
