I bought two of these on the Prime Days deal. These shelves fit both my closet doors and my bathroom doors without hitting the door gap (which I was worried about). There is padding on the back so you don't have to worry about leaving marks on the door. The hooks on the back are slightly visible from the closet door but not visible at all from the bathroom door. I was also concerned that it wasn't long enough, but most coats and towels make it so that it uses all the available area at the back of the door without interfering with the doors closing. I haven't decided yet if I'll hang it in front of the closet door as I think it looks good either way. I have the antique copper finish and it is very nice from an aesthetic point of view. I am very happy with this purchase
