As one reviewer said, the plastic coating is melting off the wires. That's good, but the wires are very fragile and one broke when I tried to use it for the second shoot. I assembled the broken parts and it worked. If you take it for your oven I would make sure that the wires and a good place just go into the oven through the peep hole and don't move. Find a good place to put the controller and leave it there. Also, the instructions were a little strange, but to prevent the device from turning itself off, hold down the hold button while turning the device on. I let it run for a few hours so I think the battery life is good. Good.
