The light in my microwave has burned out again and I'm looking for a replacement bulb again. This time I thought I'd see if an LED replacement for the 15 watt E17 base light bulb had been invented - as I've found LED replacements for all other types of light bulbs here lately (sorry Edison!) . Well after doing a little research on Revain I found replacement bulbs and decided to buy this one because it has the same shape and base as the one I'm looking to replace. My lightbulb was 15 watts and had high and low settings. The LED replacement claimed it would produce as many lumens as a 25-watt incandescent bulb. It suited me so I bought these two packs. It went in easily and when I switched it on I was very surprised to see that the LED was almost twice as bright as the old bulb on the high setting and about the same brightness when I turned the LED on the low setting. Best of all, the LED bulb consumes only 2W on high setting and less on low setting. The old lightbulb burned about 15 watts at high wattage and 7 or 8 at low wattage. The color rating of 2700K seems correct. These LED bulbs are expensive but a great alternative to the old incandescent bulbs.
