Review on Oster 6706 Blender: High-performance 6-Cup 450-Watt, 10-Speed Black Blender by Pamela Begay

We only use it to make smoothies, which now only happens in the afternoons because it's so damn loud at night. I don't know if the seeds get stuck in the blades or something, but the noise level varies and sometimes it looks like something is going to explode. It also occasionally stops for unknown reasons. The base isn't very strong and I feel like I need to keep my hand up or be there during use in case something happens. The plastic jar became cloudy after about 4 months of use and while this is only a budget blender I would happily choose another option as I am already buying a replacement.
