Worked like clockwork
My Whirlpool Duet GEW9250PW dryer had a burning smell and stopped working mid cycle. I took it apart and found that a resistor on the control board had blown. I immediately ordered and replaced a new control board part number 8546219 Rev C from a reputable auction site. My dryer still didn't get hot, but the drum turned. I then followed the troubleshooting guide posted on the side panel of the dryer. All you need is a multimeter and of course it drew my attention to this little thermistor 3976615. I ordered it, the exchange took 5 minutes and the dryer worked again.
