Garbage. Only not!
They will not work because they leave a small passage of liquid when clamped around the hose. With an idea this simple, you wonder how they could have gotten it wrong, but it's inherently garbage. That's what I get when I don't read reviews. I can probably get them to work with duct tape like many other things, or both, but you can be smarter than me and not buy them in the first place.
