My fan starts, light flashes then resets. Hours spent debugging it. I wrote to support and got a response within a day. They sent me a motherboard that can be replaced by just removing the cover. However, the cap is stupidly difficult to turn and needs the lugs to get the leverage. I had to use a flat head screwdriver to dig into the side and get enough force to pry it out. Unfortunately the mobo was shipped in regular bubble wrap with no instructions and I completely disassembled the fan before realizing I only had to remove the cover. Well this time it worked on the first try and then started doing the same thing about 9 times out of 10 after turning it off and on. Turning the fan on and off with the switch will reset all direction, speed, and lighting settings. Super annoying. The software looks really impressive. I was able to set up rules to change the direction of the fan depending on the temperature. So if below 65°F, turn clockwise for winter. Above 75 spin counterclockwise to cool. Pretty neat. Unfortunately, the new motherboard didn't solve the boot problem. They send me the 3rd mobo. Let's see if that solves the problem. I'm grateful that customer support responded, but I'm really not happy with the product. I was planning on buying three more but I'm very glad I waited to test them. Hope others have better luck. It looks like it could be really cool if it worked.
