Revainrating 5 out of 5

High Performance Quiet Tower Cooler

Summary PROS - Completely silent at low load, pretty quiet at maximum fan speed - 5-10 degrees Celsius better than the standard AMD Wraith Stealth cooler (for Ryzen 5 3600) - Relatively simple to install - Good packaging - All necessary tools and mounting hardware included - even a screwdriver - You can add another fan if you really want to - No clearance issues due to I/O shielding or high RAM - Minimal aesthetics CONS - Instructions for use an AMD setup that might clarify the diagrams showing no Intel mount - Easy bending of the fins - Fan has no braided cables NEUTRAL - Very high - Check case clearance before purchase - One color option - No RGB option of the included Wraith stealth cooler My Ryzen 5 3600. While the standard cooler has enough performance for everyday use When used and gaming, its high noise and small fan size give it a very intrusive acoustic profile. When I was looking for a CPU cooler, I wanted a device with high acoustic efficiency - the quietest device that could still keep my CPU at reasonable temperatures that would not cause throttling under normal load (ie below 80 degrees). in Celsius). I had high expectations for be quiet! Shadow Rock 3 is cooler judging by the reviews and it must be said that it met and even exceeded all expectations. With the same fan curve as my stock cooler, it is completely silent in everyday life (60% PWM idle/low load) and lowered idle temperatures by around 5-10 degrees Celsius. I can't hear it while gaming due to my GPU fans (EVGA GeForce 1660 Super) and my CPU supports the advertised boost clock. Even when I manually crank the fans to maximum speed, they're still quiet enough and quiet enough not to be intrusive. be calm! includes mounting hardware for a second fan if you want to do a push-pull setup, but I honestly don't see why you would want that unless you're seriously pushing for a more powerful processor. There are no other color options (e.g. all black or all white) or RGB options, and AMD's assembly instructions need to be revised. The guide will show you how to attach the mounting bracket to the motherboard, and then when you learn how to install the tower cooler, the Intel bracket will appear. The instructions also state that the cooler should be mounted on the CPU before the screws are placed and screwed in. Big tower and end up having to remove the cooler first, which is frustrating.
