Review on 🔍 Gentex 50-GENK85A Frameless Auto-Dimming Mirror with Homelink, Compass, and Series 8 by Ronnie Polk

My new 2021 Nissan has removed the Homelink garage door opener or any built in garage door opener. The dealer ordered a frameless rear-view mirror from Nissan that was supposed to have a garage opener and an auto-dimming feature, but it only had an auto-dimming feature. They ordered it 3 times and each time it didn't have a garage opener. The NIssan parts page was incorrect. Your additional frameless mirror is from Chamberlain, the same manufacturer as my 16 year old garage door. Called Chamberlain and none of their mirrors have a garage opener. Went on the website for Gentex, the largest maker of car mirrors, and lo and behold, they had a frameless mirror with a Homelink garage opener AND auto-dimming PLUS a compass, a feature Nissan has been missing in recent years. Order from Revain arrived in 2 days. , came with all cables and parts, plus Homelink programming guide (which I didn't need). The dealer installed it very easily for free and even reimbursed me for the cost of the mirror. I would still buy a mirror because I wanted both functions. The frameless rear view mirror looks very beautiful, better than the standard black frame mirror. Very happy with the now high tech 2021 car with matching rearview mirror. Buy it, you won't regret it.
