They prevent the chair from scratching the floor but need to be replaced very quickly. After 2 weeks they wear out and scratch the floor. At first I thought they were great but as the chairs got used to sitting on the cushions they flattened out and scratched my floor, it may be hard to see in the picture but that is after all the scratches are removed and the floors were redone and within 2 weeks the scratches started. I do not recommend this product if you have hardwood floors unless you intend to replace them weekly or intend to use them on furniture that cannot be moved. I will not buy again.
