Description of Hankook Tire Winter i*Pike RS2 W429 175/65 R14 86T

Hankook W429 i Pike RS2 The Hankook iPike RS2 winter tire, like the model of the previous generation, is designed for passenger cars. It is characterized by improved traction on slippery surfaces, braking efficiency and reliability in difficult road conditions. Newly developed tread patternThe key difference between this tire and the first generation iPike RS is the tread pattern. Its design remained symmetrical and directional, but the shape, size and arrangement of the elements changed significantly. The central part contains larger intersecting blocks. This noticeably optimizes the distribution of the external load across the contact patch in this area, thereby providing better grip stability. In the shoulder areas, the blocks, on the contrary, noticeably decreased in size, and their number increased due to this. This solution improves the performance of the tread during longitudinal accelerations, and also makes it easier to get out of a rut covered with snow. Several types of sipes Like its predecessor, the tread of this tire contains several thousand so-called “3D lamellas” of narrow slots with 3-axis facets on the vertical walls. But at the same time, the shape and layout of these elements have been significantly changed. The lamellas in the central part are directed at a sharper angle relative to the movement. This significantly improves directional stability on slippery surfaces. A significant part of the slots has a classic straight shape for such elements. Such lamellae are located in the central part at a slight angle. This solution improves longitudinal grip on wet surfaces by not only creating high and long edges, but also directing water into one of the nearby drainage grooves. Optimized stud pattern The next major innovation is the stud pattern. The number of longitudinal rows formed by them is not 10, as before, but 12. The spikes are located closer to the center of the tread, i.e., they are distributed more evenly over its entire area. This solution significantly improves the stability of grip on icy surfaces. Improved tread pattern The tread pattern of the tire contains a large number of tread grooves. A significant part of them is located at an acute angle, which makes it possible to use the rotation of the wheel to drain water and its mixture with snow. In the shoulder areas at the intersection with the transverse grooves, the tread has the ability to compact and retain snow, further enhancing grip. Main features of Hankook W429 i Pike RS2 - optimized tread pattern with massive blocks in the central part, which increase the stability of traction; - narrow shoulder blocks improve performance during longitudinal accelerations, make it easier to get out of the track; - 12-row arrangement of studs provides high efficiency on icy conditions

The best thing Ive ever used, a great item for everyone!

My wheels are made in Korea, maybe that's why everything is so good with her. I recommend to buy. But is it on sale in 2022 now? And at what price, I wonder. With such quality, they could raise the price.

Pros
  • Love everything about these tires. For 4 seasons, not a single spike flew out, it's hard to believe. Holds perfectly, on all coatings the holder is enough with a margin. It rows perfectly in the snowy porridge, it always went out, it was not necessary to push. Plus, it's very quiet. I did not expect such a level at such a low price.
Cons
  • Didn't remember any shortcomings.

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

The balance loaders are just 2x and 20 grams each, and the tires are not misaligned. The zapepom and keeps have been great for the first winter on this rubber. I'm very happy with the quality!

Pros
  • Very good control and zing!
Cons
  • It makes some noise on the pavement, but not much, like all winter tires with spikes.

I have not regretted the purchase, everything is fine.

The rubber came as if it had been worn on the street! In gray - yellow dust 21 years old, 27 weeks old, the usual rubber has a sticker with a marking, this copy does not!

Pros
  • Once there was a price!
Cons
  • Price for 6 months 16.000 Raised to 24.000!

Instead, I opted to purchase a set of Nordman 5 tires for my Kia Sid jd. It was immediately apparent that the rubber, despite having such a robust studding, was surprisingly quiet. This was the case despite the fact that almost none of the Nordman's original spikes remained intact. On 02/12/19, I drove almost 4t. Km on these tires before I realized how quiet they were on the highway after my first 500-kilometer jaunt. I'm a big fan of how they handle and how well they stop on ice and snow…

Pros
  • Appearance, manageability, and deceleration and braking performance that stand out positively include:

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

At the time of this review's writing (October 24), I was driving a Volvo V60 Cross Country with tires measuring 235/55/17. Due to the mild climate in Hong Kong, I was able to test out my vehicle on both dry and wet pavement. Relaxed driving is being used. I settled on winter tires after giving studs and Velcro some thought. Pick between the Michelin, Good Year, and Gislaved tires. Three factors led us to choose Hankook: There were no major complaints about the quality and handling of the car's…

Pros
  • Really peaceful They perform nearly as well in the winter PRICE as they do in the summer.
Cons
  • They simply do not exist!

Good product for me, no problems at all.

From personal experience, I am completely satisfied with this rubber, price, quality . Not very noisy and normally holds the road, taking into account what the last winter was like.

Pros
  • The rubber of this brand has already been tested by time, native is still alive, in principle, 90-95% of the spikes are in place. I decided to change because my native rubber for 7 years and the tread is not the same. New tires are fresh, production date is the beginning of 21 years.

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

The value for the money, resilience to wear, strong road holding, and ability to perform well on ice are all advantages. Below are some downsides: The noise level is around average (before that it was Yokohama Ice Guard IG35, which was noisier), and it is responsive to the track (like all spikes).

Not everything is so bad, but there are disadvantages.

Because of damage to one of the wheels that was deemed "non-repairable," I decided to swap from the Pirelli Ice Zero to this other type of rubber. The Pirelli Ice Zero did not make it to the fifth season of competition. The kit was the lone source of the replacement, as logic would dictate. I was able to evaluate new tires with a reasonable degree of objectivity in comparison to the old ones because we changed them during the middle of the winter when it was quite cold outside. I made up my…

Pros
  • - spikes while everything is in place, which is quite calm - pretty - ability to maintain traction in deep snow - cost
Cons
  • -controllability - sensitivity to track conditions - stability of currency rates
