MotoFab Lifts Spare Spacer Wrangler Review

The studs rotate before the nuts are tightened. Now I had to buy replacement bolts and new nuts because I would have to cut them off.

Works well on my Jeep Wrangler. I bought him a new bumper but my spare tire, not normal, didn't fit. This makes it bigger and a little bit bigger so it fits well.

Very easy installation, works as expected. My only complaint, and it's a major one, is that the eyelets that come with them are about 4 threads long and popped out of the middle of my three lug nuts. Not happy about that.

Good welds and quality. The 98 TJ 1 did not fit the stud and had to grind down a small section to allow the stud to fit the hole. Not a big deal, just annoying having to grind down a new part.

It went smoothly. Easy to follow instructions. No catch. After installing the washers, you need to knock them out with a screwdriver and a hammer. Fits 12" wide tires on standard JL rims. Very durable. You don't have to climb into the bumper for the 32".

The plates and metal construction are really good, but the spikes are not logical in their use. If you try to put the tire on, they cannot be attached to the plate structure in any way. If you manage to put a tire on, the spikes won't be able to rotate. I tried using a vise on the back of the bolt but again the design barely allowed for a grip.

Great product but I recommend using the Lisle 22800 wheel stud installer. The tool greatly simplifies the installation of studs. Also, the rivets are slightly longer, so be prepared to snip about 1/4-1/2 inch before tightening the grommets (otherwise the bolt will knock out the grommet). Overall I like the product and I think it's a great price.

I upgraded my 94 jeep yj from 31 x 10.5 x 15" tires to 33 x 12.5 x 15" tires. New tires did not fit the regular driver. After installation I realized that instead of buying this product I could have just used the longer bolts that came with my original holder. I ended up using shims instead of cutting off the excess length. Better too long than too short. Also need large rubber bumpers on the tailgate. I simply glue the foam on both sides so that the tire doesn't rattle against the tailgate.
