Review on 🚲 Optimized Schwinn Comfort Bicycle Seat for Enhanced Riding Experience by Jared Stauder

Comfortable for normal riding over just a few miles

I have tried many bike saddles including gel, foam, leather, Brooks, road and cruiser saddles etc. I found that it feels like you are "cuddling". up your butt" for several miles, gets painful like a torture device on longer rides. Your body is telling you it's not working if you watch the pain build up as it subsides. I ride a cruising e-bike with butterfly handlebars. So I sit at a 90Β° angle in the saddle. My weight is on my sit bones. We often say "where the rubber meets the road" when discussing performance issues. In a bicycle saddle, the contour is the saddle surface most importantly because this is where, ahem, "the beam meets the saddle". Our back buns are round - varying in thickness from person to person, but round. But look at the surface of this saddle: It has mounds of foam on either side that rise above the center surface of the saddle, which like many inexpensive bike saddles is a channel Foam-filled fenders or side panels are pressure-packed Of course, it may appear soft at first But the contour of the saddle's top smile DOES NOT FIT YOUR BACK. This raised foam mound is now a pressure point that will focus more and more pressure on your sit bones as time in the saddle increases. Have you ever walked in shoes with a blister on the bottom of the insole and tried to ignore it but couldn't for a long time? Earlier, not too late, I had to take off my shoes. That's what we have here: a simple mismatch that creates a pressure point. The foam bladder presses against your buttocks from behind, creating pressure and the weight of your body pressing down on your sit bones, which push into the foam mile after mile. So this saddle is guaranteed to create a painful pressure point on your sit bones if you ride more than a few miles. Take a look at the Planet Bike Comfort Tractor bike seat. This saddle surface follows the shape of your backside with no raised pressure points - I'm not saying the saddle is perfect. This seat distributes your body weight evenly over a larger area. What this Schwinn seat does is focus your body weight on two elevated pressure points, albeit mild, that become painful after a few miles. It's worth noting that young individuals have more muscle tendons around the sit bones that provide soft cushion, while older dogs have sharp bones. So this saddle could be a good fit for younger riders. However, I suspect that in about 12 miles you will understand exactly what I am talking about. I liked the 13 inch spread. The elastomer suspension worked well, but the Planet Bike Comfort Tractor Bike Saddle had a better elastomer system. This saddle is 3 to 4 stars for younger riders, around 2 maybe 3 stars - at best - for older riders depending on how far you ride. The Cloud-9 Cruiser Contour saddle is another bicycle saddle that, thanks to its structured surface, distributes your body weight evenly over the saddle. But to see what I'm really talking about, check out the YLG Comfort oversized bike seat or the Laterelle ergonomic comfort seat. Assuming you choose the right saddle, it can take up to a year for your behind to get used to the saddle as you are sitting on working muscles and these will be compressed in different dimensions by the new saddle.
