Long story short it's a fuse, it worked, it doesn't change the sound quality. I bought it to replace a blown fuse. I can't find any slow acting fuses and as some forums have stated it is possible to use fast acting fuses on a device that requires slow acting but not vice versa. I ended up blowing the whole thing through no fault of the fuse. , but a bad rectifier tube that was replaced by a Doctor 5AR4 tube amp. I went with the recommended Slo Blo for my next purchase just to be on the safe side. Now my amp likes slow-blowing more.
