Review on ๐Ÿฅ‹ Hayabusa Mirai Shin Guards: Optimized Series by Quintin Gore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent Product (for Stand Up Wrestling)

These are by far the most comfortable pads I have ever used. They protect everything, and they protect everything exceptionally well. I suppose if that's your thing you could throw cannonballs in the air. Fantastic build quality Wide padding Rises high to the shin and completely wraps the foot Excellent snug fit As for the cons. Due to the thickness and tight fit, heat dissipation is poor for obvious reasons. Hardly anything to complain about in Thai boxing. The only real red flag to watch out for with this purchase is the locking system. The BOA closure system is amazing in that it wraps around the leg very quickly and snugly, but the handle sticks out up to 1.5cm. I've never seen that as a problem - sparring is usually against people who also have shin pads - but I can't recommend for MMA. To be honest, I haven't tried them in this context and I don't intend to do so. The handle looks solid, but I don't want to know what it will and won't take in terms of lateral pressure if someone is trying to hold on to your sprained leg and bangs on the handle. Not to mention the damage they can do to themselves - as slippery as it gets, there is some potential for injury. Considering the price, that's a bit disappointing. The five star rating is based on the fact that these are five star muay thai and kickboxing pads in every way. It's also refreshing to see the right innovation in terms of closure systems - and unlike gloves in the same range, the shin guards can still be used without exposing your opponent to injury. However, were I to buy them as MMA pads I would give them 2 stars as despite the great quality of the product they simply cannot be used for sparring. . Don't take her for MMA.
