This rod helped with the wobble effect you get when a trailer pulls past your RV. This did not completely eliminate the bang effect. Maybe a Davis Trac handlebar up front would help even more. To be honest, this is the first time I've towed a car on a hitch since installing this carrier. My research has shown that you should wear the back bar before the front bar. The bar was a bit pricey but it was well built.
