Wanted to use this with my boys at the shooting range with a cheap Baofeeng UV5R and a Peltor Comtac iii headset. At first glance it seems to be well designed. When I connected my Peltors to the PTT the connection seemed tight but there is some play with the connector housing inside the PTT. There were problems connecting the PTT to the radio. When I fully insert the Kenwood 2-pin plug, my right ear headphone turns off and my left ear headphone works. I was able to transmit with PTT in this configuration, but I was missing half of the hearing function. If I flipped the Kenwood connector back and loosened the top pin a bit, it would snap both the left and right headphones into place, but the transmission would be disabled. For $70 I expect much better performance than this. I will be returning this product and ordering one from Croatia for $55 off ebay to see how it works. Update 4/20/20 - the version I order on eBay from Croatia has finally arrived. It works and the fit and finish is excellent. There is no backlash in the NATO fork. The Kenwood plug fits well and delivers sound to both ears.
