Get a lot of tool for your money!

This device has many features to help you know the condition of your vehicle. When the check engine light comes on, you can find out what's probably wrong with the car. This will help you check the condition of your vehicle before taking it in for inspection or service. You can use this information to shop around to find the best auto repair deal, knowing what to ask for in the repair (or just provide the trouble code(s)). You can also check the car's performance in terms of acceleration, braking and power. You simply look for a set of pins (usually white) usually found under the driver's side dash that look like the end of an OBD gauge and plug in the gauge and turn the key or start the engine. If you have trouble finding contacts, you can go to youtube.com and type in "OBD Interface Location", make and model of your car and you should find it. In order to use the tool, you must understand that it is not a touch screen. ! Instead use the up and down arrows to move around the screen to select a title and then use the OK button to select that title or press the back button to return to the previous screen. A tricky window is the DTC trouble code library. This window tells you the meaning of the code. You can also use the internet to find the meaning of the codes. Error codes are of the form YZZZZ, where Y can be either P, C, B, U. And Z can be either a letter or a number. The library opens with P0000 and P is where the pointer is. When P is the correct value for the error code you want, press the up arrow to move to the next position to the right. If P is not the correct value, use the down arrow to select the correct value (C, B, U). Then press the up arrow to go to the next position. After entering the correct letter or number in all places, press the OK button and the error definition will appear. The mount comes with a pretty magnetic clip that you can attach to your car's air vent. It's probably best to first attach the clip (it has two sizes of slots, one small and one large) to the vent, and then attach the monitor to the magnetic clip. The instructions aren't clear but it's worth playing around with and as a tool this device can be a very useful tool when working with your car.
