Let me start by saying I don't play golf. I bought it as a cheap, small and light alternative to my waterproof binoculars. The field of view isn't great, but it's adequate for what I need and seems good when I'm using it to see the next golf hole. The range reticle works well for me because I can estimate range by matching the height of a known object (e.g. a person) to the reticle's scale (which is set to the height of a golf flag). Comes with a decent carry case. Case, the grips are good, the rubber tip is easy on the eyes and protects against ambient light. It's tough enough to withstand many drops onto grass, but it's likely that the internal optics won't hold up to repeated, hard drops onto concrete or rocks. My apologies to golfers looking for an overview of how well it works to improve your golf game.
