Review on TOSCANA Circo Cheese Board with Cheese Tools by Picnic Time Brand by Richard Edwar

Check this item as soon as it arrives because when I opened my box, instead of a plain smooth surfaced chopping board, I ordered the one I received with a capital W carved right into the centre! Not only would it be a hassle to clean it alone (soft and crumbly cheese in all those sharp corners), but the carved portion has a damp, untreated wood surface ripe for bacterial growth. The packaging says not to submerge the board in water, but even if it were possible, the detergent flavor would be added quickly. I mean, are you trying to scrape cream cheese brie or blue cheese off a rough wooden surface? (Which is pretty much the case.) Basically, this carved version is useless as a cheeseboard, and as we're getting into the holiday season and a plain one would make a good hostess gift, be sure to check what you actually got. rather than just wrapping it up or mailing it to friends/family just to create confusion after the return date. The item was received or not just by looking at the box. I think mine was accidentally mispackaged as nowhere is it mentioned or shown expecting anything other than a basic board. Even the cutout on the front of the box doesn't show the carving in the center, just the smooth outside of the board. Greetings, MJV
