Review on Yellow Mountain Imports Travel Magnetic by Ryan Reed

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Worth every penny - games and accessories

Sufficiently durable field . Definitely worth the price for an amenity set, the pieces don't look too magnetic at first glance and are hardly attracted by a magnet, but remain firmly on the board when you close it together with the pieces on it. The figures vary in size depending on their meaning. If I had to be annoyed about something it would be the bright black bar in the middle where it's hinged since Shogi is played on a 9x9 board so going straight through the 5th cell is a bit annoying but not enough to justify taking star off otherwise well made board.

Pros
  • Complete set with 40 figures: 18 pawns, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 4 spears, 4 knights, 4 silver generals, 4 gold generals and 2 kings
Cons
  • Many things
