I am a trained welder and have been working in the production hall for almost 5 years. After my Lincoln Viking 3350 died (3 months before the warranty expired) my company offered to refund me for one of these. I went further, although I always preferred Lincoln hoods. At the same time, the screen and the screen at infinity are very good. The screen is spacious, light and allows you to blow your face with plenty of relatively fresh air. The screen is very large and incredibly clear. Still, the headgear (and all of Miller's hoods) is terrible. I've been with him for a little over a month and I'm ready for the jury to wear Lincoln's hat. Initially, the Miller headpiece was decent, distributing weight well across the head and locking on top when you flip it over to rest. After wearing it for several weeks, the hat began to pinch on the sides of the head and would no longer hold up at the top. Most welders in my job have Miller hoods and have replaced their hats for this very reason, and I will do the same. The outer screen protectors are curved and patented, which is a bit frustrating. We can get them from our supplier fairly quickly, but for a hobbyist or home industrial welder I would absolutely understand that this is a breaking point. d Replace the headgear as soon as possible.
