Review on Enhance Your Water Quality with Vitapur GWF8 Filtration Top Load Dispensers by Katie Bowers

Bought, read installation instructions, soaked filter for 30 minutes as recommended, poured about 2 liters of water, then did TDS test. I'm in Arizona and the TDS is around 380 which is awful. After testing the filter the TDS only dropped to 320. I did a calibration on a TDS meter I bought from Revain and verified that this was true with several different bottles and tap water. I sent the Vitapur GWF8 back and ordered a replacement hoping I had a defective filter but the replacement results were the same. The included filters DO NOT filter heavy solids, they are designed to remove odors and possibly discolored water. If your tap water is almost undrinkable, don't buy this device. I looked around to find an acceptable 7 step filter that would work with this container before sending it back and couldn't find any confirmation. Ordered 2 pieces, sent 2 pieces back :( Too bad.
