Review on Cuthberts Mill Saunders Waterford Paper by Kim Sanchez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks like good quality paper

I haven't painted a big picture on this pad yet. However, having experience with watercolor paper, I see the pad is well made, thick paper, comparable to Arches. So far the beginning of my first picture on it shows promising paper texture and absorbency. Color lifting is also easy to perform. Can't talk about curling or warping as I haven't covered the side with water and removed it from the block yet. I've used other blocks and even though they were glued on all sides, they still warped or curled. Arches is one of those papers that doesn't, but it's priced similarly to that brand. My experience with watercolor paper is that you get what you pay for and whenever you can find a good deal for the price of that paper. Less expensive paper is better for smaller projects and crafts.

Pros
  • Unique texture perfect for watercolor
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
