Most routers and router/modem combos I've bought have one thing in common: the 5 GHz connection is either unstable or stops working after a while; However, I didn't have a single crash that quickly. Got this modem and router combo, plugged everything in, logged into my Xfinity account and everything is fine. After the second week I noticed that the 5GHz channel does not appear in the WiFi lists. Okay, I'll just turn it off, right? In the 3rd week the 5GHz channel disappeared completely. I turned off the power and even did a factory reset, still nothing. That's when I decided not to tolerate bad hardware. It is extremely important that both channels work for me. This device is being returned for a refund. Pros: Easy setup, no heat/no heat, great speed. Cons: As with many customers, the 5GHz channel no longer works, there is no dedicated mobile app for parental controls or restrictions. Use for certain connected devices and is somewhat cumbersome.
