Review on 🚙 Jeep Fuel Rail and Injector Cover Kit (1997-2004, 4.0L Engine) by Design Engineering 010378 by Moe Gilbert

Well folks it finally happened. We finally had our first day in Memphis, TN that was hot enough to call for air conditioning and check out my new fuel rail/injector insulation. Installation went well, I installed it a while ago when it was still cold outside. The supplied injector O-rings fit perfectly. The injector sleeves fit perfectly. I did not use the distributor plate as my factory plate (they are identical) is still intact. The fuel rail fits like a glove once you figure out where to cut the damn thing so it's POSSIBLE to wrap around the rail. Cut a hole for the Schrader valve if present. But when all is said and done? Looks great and fits tight. So this should work, right? UPDATE: July 7th, 2019 Everyone, I have to admit that I was wrong when I wrote my first review. I have eliminated unnecessary disputes and I have to apologize to the DEI, you did a good job. I don't know why I had overheating symptoms on that first install at 70* a day, but now that we've hit the 90's I've had NO issues. A/C on, hot muggy days get stuck in freeway traffic, stop and drive, very little airflow through the radiator but when I get home and turn the jeep off I change clothes and go back to the gym; no vapor barrier. I have no active DTCs and the only thing I did to the engine after this installation was I also replaced the faulty throttle position sensor. suffered from excessive heat while driving and I just thought this insulation kit was to blame. I don't know, but I know I was wrong. I ride harder and hotter than ever in Memphis traffic and have absolutely NO vapor lock on any cylinder. So this kit works great and I won't hesitate to go desert anywhere. I'll keep updating this as things change, but for now I highly recommend this kit! I had to come back here to eat my words so I can keep my reviews as accurate as possible. In addition, it is extremely easy to install. I will add photos soon. Thanks again!
