Bizarre Routing is good for GPS, finders and accessories

After reading all the positive reviews I bought this unit to replace my aging Magellan Maestro. I really wanted to like this GPS. The size is perfect, thin and relatively light, and the screen is bright and works well in bright sunlight. In addition, turn-by-turn directions are loud, clear, and well-spoken. Unfortunately, in areas I know, the routing is often so bizarre that I'm afraid to trust it in unfamiliar places. the first place. On the familiar 75 mile route that I use frequently, it almost always runs differently than before and is NEVER the fastest or most efficient route. He often picks me up in the middle of the freeway, sends me a few miles through the city streets, and then back onto the freeway again. If I followed this, it would add 15-20 minutes to the travel time on a 1-1/2 hour drive. If I didn't keep it for too long I would be returning this device and going back to my trusty old Magellan. Maestro. I find it hard to believe all the rave reviews.
