Strange sticky texture on the cork body
This little gem did what it was supposed to do. Until the other day I reached into the drawer and it stuck to my hand. You see the "substance" on the body - disgusting. It didn't come from contact with anything in the box. No way. I washed it several times with hot soapy water. Then I washed and cleaned again. Vain. Things just come back, sticky and nasty as ever. So my theory is that something got fishy in Denmark and spread to this cork.
