This is a very quiet air pump. A small pump with a suction port that can be attached to the aquarium wall. Long hose to connect to the air stone which creates a good flow of oxygen for your fish. All my fish love it, always see them swimming around. The current is soft enough that my catfish goes to clear it. works better. My air hose is a bit short to reach the bottom of my tank, but I'll get a replacement eventually. A small note, as stated in the manual you will need to detach and reattach the hose a few times to get the best flow. Also excellent customer service. Had to contact them several times and they were very helpful. Update: This aerator just stopped working after a year. I can hear the pump motor running but the air discharge is maybe 10% compared to out of the box. I don't see any leaks and have tried a new hose so something is wrong with the pump. Worked great for a year, now useless. We have to find a replacement.
