I have several Amico 3 head LED floodlights around my house without the motion detector and they're fantastic. Bright and aimable, no dead diodes or any other problems. I decided to buy this motion detector light because of my experience with those floodlights. The brightness and versatility is just as good as they are the same lights. But the motion detector is lame. The "field of view" of the sensor seems to be really out of whack; completely lopsided to the right, making initial aiming and fine tuning a major pain in the rear. And it's still not quite right. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work quite right. I've noticed that my outdoor AC/heatpump units will trigger the light when they kick on, but what's even stranger is using the microwave inside the house will also trigger the light. So apparently the motion sensor unit is sensitive to stray RF and/or voltage spikes. I would recommend buying the floodlight version without the sensor and buying a name brand sensor from Eaton or Cooper and using that instead. I'm about to upgrade the motion sensor on this light to an Eaton unit and make it more reliable.
