Wrong thread for USA

Choose carefully… this shower set is Chinese & manufactured for British standard "G” thread. No taper, just an O ring. Problem was I needed an elbow (90*) off each fitting and the G thread only tightens to ONE random clock position +/- a few degrees . Required machine shop and brazing to make custom pipe fittings to work .BTW… G fitting to pipe thread adapters are very $$$ and not a great seal.If had to do over would recommend a domestic valve set that use pipe thread & won’t leak at the O ring .
