I bought two of these. The first one broke while my son was washing dishes. He swore he hadn't done anything crazy, but of course I didn't believe him. Then the second one broke when I put it lightly in the sink, that's when I realized it was just cheap plastic and not bad dishwashing. So I bought a ceramic hario and I really like it. The coffee tastes better, stays hot and I no longer have to empty all the coffee grounds out of the sink and wash the filter. Choose Ceramic Hario. Or buy this one and when it breaks use the Ceramic Hario!
