I received my first Primula Seneca as a gift and I was skeptical - I already had an automatic coffee maker, why bother with boiling water and using a drip system? But as soon as I used it, I was transformed. Makes delicious coffee and doesn't use unnecessary paper filters. I bought a replacement when I accidentally changed the glass filter holder. I highly recommend this product.

Makes great coffee! We use a coffee filter to do this because there is a small study showing that coffee oils from unfiltered coffee can raise cholesterol levels. However, if this is not a problem, this element can be used without a paper filter. Works well with paper filters. The coffee turns out really delicious and it doesn't take long to prepare. Unfortunately I dropped two of these and the outer part breaks very easily. The first easily broke off a large chunk and had to be thrown away when I nearly banged it against the wall unit. This is the third Primula Pour Over coffee maker (first I've bought from Revain). The glass filter holder can break. I have broken two in the last 4 years. However, I love making coffee with this product so much that I will change it again if the need arises. I like using a metal filter without the waste and mess of paper filters, although you can use a paper filter in a metal filter if you prefer. I don't know of any other exactly the same product.
