living in a basement in a house with 4 pets who constantly throw up gives me terrible late night allergies including sinus congestion, coughing and some bouts of dermatitis. I just glued the filter to the suction side of the box fan, put it on full blast and vacuumed everything underneath. The filter worked so fast that within a few hours the air was noticeably cleaner and I slept great that night. I've had my DIY air filter installed for about a week now - it usually runs low or leaks and sometimes goes high when I'm vacuuming. Improvement has continued throughout this "experiment" and I am excited to finally find a permanent solution to my dander and pet dust problems.
