The slide hammer's contact surface with the shank has a rough surface. For this price it should have a case or at least be smooth finished (or maybe gold plated). The kit costs $211.00 compared to $76.73 for the OTC 4579 9-Way Hammer Puller Set. The difference is two sets of jaws and a small compression screw and bushing. You pay 274% for 10% extra weight. If you want long and short cams, it's $108 to add later (I don't know about the screw/bushing in dollars). If you're not sure you need more versatility, save $134 and purchase the OTC 4579 9-Way Slide Hammer Puller Kit.
